This is a list of all the abilities as of Diamond and Pearl. Abilities were introduced in Ruby and Saphire and now number 123. Every Pokemon has an ability, and can only have one. Some can choose from two different abilities, however.

Name Effect
Adaptability Increases stab from 1.5x to 2x.
Aftermath Opponent is hurt if user is fainted by a physical attack.
Airlock All weather effects are canceled.
Anger Point User's attack increases when hit with a critical hit.
Anticipation If the user shudders when it enters battle, the opponent has a Super Effective attack.
Arena Trap Opponent cannot switch of flee even if the user switches out. Chance of encountering wild pokemon is doubled when user is first in party.
Bad Dreams Damages opponent each turn they are asleep.
Battle Armor Opponents cannot land critical hits.
Blaze Fire attacks are raised by 1.5 when user's HP falls below 1/3 max HP.
Chlorophyl User's speed is doubled durring sun.
Clear Body User's stats cannot be lowered.
Cloud Nine All weather effects are canceled.
Color Change When hit with an attack, sser's type changes to the same type as the opponent's last attack.
Compound Eyes User's accuracy is increased.
Cute Charm 30% chance of infatuating the opponent when user is struck with physical attack.
Damp Pokemon cannot use Self-Destruct or Explosion.
Download User increases their stat depending on whichever stat is highest for the opponent.
Drizzle Summons a rainstorm to battle.
Drought Summons sun to battle.
Dry Skin User's HP decreased in sunlight and increases in rain or when hit by a Water-type attack.
Early Bird User wakes up from sleep earlier.
Effect Spore 10% chance of inflicting burn, paralysis, or poison on opponent when user is hit by a physical attack from that opponent.
Filter Damage from user's Super Effective moves is halved.
Flame Body 30% chance of burning the opponent when user is struck with physical attack. Eggs in the same party as user hatch twice as fast.
Flower Gift User's form is changed and stats are raised.
Forecast User's type and form changes with the weather.
Forewarn You can see one of the opponent's attacks.
Frisk You can see the opponent's held item.
Gluttony Berries are eaten earlier than usual.
Guts User's attack is increased by 1.5 when inflicted by a status condition.
Heat Proof Damage from Fire-type attacks is halved.
Honey Gather Chance of holding honey after battles.
Huge Power User's attack is doubled.
Hustle User's physical attack is increased by 1.5 but accuracy is decreased by 20%. On the feild, chance of encountering lower-level Pokemon is increased by 50% when user is first in party.
Hydration User's status conditions are healed when Rain Dance is first used.
Hyper Cutter User's attack cannot be lowered. On the feild, when you use Cut in grass, it cuts away a larger area.
Ice Body User's HP increases when it is Hailing.
Illuminate Wild Pokemon encounter rate doubles when user is first in party.
Immunity User cannot be poisoned.
Inner Focus User cannot flinch.
Insomnia User cannot be put to sleep.
Intimidate Opponent's attack drops one stage when user comes into battle. On the feild this ability cuts the chance of finding a lower level wild Pokemon by 50%.
Iron Fist User's punching attacks (Focus Punch, Fire Punch, etc.) do more damage.
Keen Eye User's accuracy cannot be lowered.
Klutz User cannot use hold items.
Leaf Guard User's status conditions are healed when it is sunny.
Levitate User is not affected by Ground-type attacks.
Lightning Rod All Electric-type attacks hit user.
Limber User cannot be paralyzed.
Liquid Ooze When the opponent steals HP (Absorb, etc.) from the user, the opponent loses HP.
Magic Guard User only takes damage from damaging attacks (Sandstorm, Spikes, etc., have no effect).
Magma Armor User cannot be frozen.
Magnet Pull Steel-type Pokemon cannot switch out when user is in battle.
Marvel Scale User's defence is increased by 1.5 when inflicted with a status condition.
Minus User's special attack is increased by 1.5 when in battle with Plusle.
Mold Breaker Opponent's ability has no effect.
Motor Drive Speed increases one stage when hit with an Electric-type attack.
Multitype Type changes depending on the Plate user is holding.
Natural Cure Status conditions are healed when user switches out.
No Guard All attacks land without fail when user is in battle.
Oblivious User cannot be infatuated.
Overgrow Grass attacks are raised by 1.5 when user's HP falls below 1/3 max HP.
Own Tempo User cannot by confused.
Pick Up 10% chance the user is holding an item after battle, unless the user already is holding an item.
Plus User's special attack is increased by 1.5 when in battle with Minun.
Poison Heal HP is restored when user is poisoned
Poison Point 30% chance of poisoning the opponent when user is struck with physical attack.
Pressure Opponent loses 2 PP per move instead of 1 PP.
Pure Power User attack is doubled.
Quick Feet Speed increases if user is inflicted with a status condition.
Rain Dish Heals 1/16 user's HP when it is raining.
Reckless Moves that give recoil damage have more power.
Rivalry User's attack increases when the opponent is the same gender.
Rock Head User does not receive recoil damage.
Rough Skin Opponent loses 1/16 max HP when they attack user with a physical attack.
Run Away User can always run away from wild Pokemon unless prevented by an opponent's move/ability.
Sand Stream Summons a sandstorm.
Sand Veil User's evasion increases when in a sandstorm.
Scrappy User can hit Ghost-types with Normal and Fighting-type moves.
Serene Grace Chance of user activating it's move's added effects is doubled.
Shadow Tag Opponent cannot switch of flee even if the user switches out, unless they also have Shadow Tag.
Shed Skin 1/3 chance of healing status conditions each turn.
Shell Armor Opponent cannot land a critical hit on user.
Sheild Dust User is not effected by opponent's attacks' added effects.
Simple Added effects from user's held item are more likely.
Skill Link Multiple hit moves (Fury Attack, Double Slap, etc.) hit more times.
Slow Start User's speed and attack are lowered for the first five turns this Pokemon is in battle.
Sniper When the user lands a critical hit, damage is multiplied by 4 instead of 2.
Snow Cloak User's evasion is raised in Hail.
Snow Warning Summons a Hail storm.
Solar Power User's speed increases and HP decreases when in sunlight.
Solid Rock User only takes 2/3 damage from Super Effective attacks.
Sound Proof User is not affected by sound-based moves. (Sing, Screech, etc.)
Speed Boost User's speed increases one level each turn.
Static 30% chance of paralyzing the opponent when user is struck with physical attack. On the feild the chances of encountering Electric type Pokemon increases when user is first in party.
Stall User always goes last.
Steadfast User's speed increases when it flinches.
Stench Chance of encountering wild Pokemon while user is first in party is halved.
Sticky Hold User's held item cannot be stolen. On the feild this ability makes it easier to catch Pokemon while fishing.
Storm Drain All water type attacks hit user.
Sturdy User is not affected by OHKO moves.
Suction Cups User cannot be forced to switch out of battle. On the feild this ability makes it easier to catch Pokemon while fishing.
Super Luck User's Critical Hit ratio increases.
Swarm Bug attacks are raised by 1.5 when user's HP falls below 1/3 max HP.
Swift Swim User's speed doubles when it is raining.
Synchronize When user is inflicted with a status condition, the opponent is as well, unless prevented by an opponent's move, ability, type, or item.
Tangled Feet User's evasion increases when confused.
Technician Power of user's moves that are less then 70 base power doubles.
Thick Fat Halves the damage taken from Fire and Ice type attacks.
Tinted Lens The power of uneffective moves is doubled.
Torrent Water attacks are raised by 1.5 when user's HP falls below 1/3 max HP.
Trace User temporarily has the opponent's abbility.
Traunt The user can only attack every other turn.
Unaware The foe's stat changes are ignored when the user is in battle.
Unburden The user's speed increases when not holding an item.
Vital Spirit The user cannot be put to sleep.
Volt Absorb 1/4 of user's HP is restored when hit by an Electric-type attack.
Water Absorb 1/4 of user's HP is restored when hit by a Water-type attack.
Water Veil The user cannot be burned
White Smoke The opponent cannot lower the user's stats.
Wonder Guard The user is only hurt by Super Effective attacks and passive damage (Sand Storm, poison, Spikes, etc.)
